Safety Welding Tips

There are many different types of welders available for every type of welder job. There are MIG, TIG ,Laser and micro to name just a few. Most of these are available in portable units. Major manufacturers such as Lincoln, Miller, Clarke, Airco-now part of Miller, Marquette all offer systems and supplies for various types of welding projects.
One thing of utmost importance is that no matter what type of welding system that is being used, safety must take center stage. Welding is a dangerous activity and precautions need to be taken.
There are many types of safety equipment available of course, it doesn't help if it's not used!
Welding helmets that protect the neck and head and have shades that protect the eyes for ultraviolet light come in a wide variety of options.There are welding gloves made of Nomex fabric with Kevlar stitching that protect the hands and can extend upwards with a longsleeve option.
Welding blankets protect areas around the welding area. They come in an assortment of fabrics made to withstand extremely high temperatures. This helps keep damage to already painted areas down to a minimum.
There are Three Tips that Must be Followed to Maintain Safety in the Welding Area:
1. Use a Welding Helmet appropriate for the job.
2. Use Welding Gloves that are appropriate for the job.
3. Use Welding Blankets to protect areas around the welding area.
Not following these simple tips can have dire consequences.
